Great topic, I wish I had time to enter (work is death), I'll try for next time.

Good month for pics!!!!

Think i'll give it a go next month.

All the entries were very good, tough job sorting them out!

All great stuff

cool

I vote on #7 as first because I think it transmits the right mood. I feel really lonely looking at it. The feeling that 'we are nothing near mother nature'!

Nice work. Steamer is proving popular.

Hmm, interesting...

The pictures are asll fantastic!

The realite of the Quebec scene when the nature is in fury...

Some nice ones this time, i think i will enter next month.. :)

All good entries. First place choice was chosen because it was the most dynamic. Second place choice the most natural looking, as well as dynamic, while the third choice was the most detailed. A tough choice between second and third place.

Very hard choices - finally went with images that worked the best overall - combination of drama, lighting, modeling and texturing.

COOL

It would be neat to be able to leave specific comments for each entry.

heya dave ;)

I think, number 1 looks very realistic... Number 15 is a good idea.. Number 17 is a good modell, but has a bit to much plastic look

...Very good work guys !

I'm not a professional animator nor am I an illustrator but the pieces here are quite impressive in their detail. I espcially like the ones that have more detail in them - the GG Bridge, the man and wife going to the cellar and the twister and the empty roadway for the great hills. The others may have had detail but most were not modeled in Lightwave. --my $.02

I hate my last client for not letting me any time for the contest :( Really great participants this month.

lw_tornado was the most technically impressive entry. Soclose to me told the best story And exspirit was not the most technically impressive, but differed from the others by being refreshingly allegorical.

It was quite a toss up between Ron Wolfe and David Ridlen for first place. If i could have had them tie I would have.

First choice of Ron Wolfe : Good Textures,Good objects, excelent details, easy concept. Second choice of Dennis Nikolaidis : Good Textures,Excelent Concept , fair objects , good space . Third Choice Taron : Good objets, good concept ,good textures

More hard choices. Keeping in mind the theme (destructive nature) helped narrow the field. The three I chose displayed what I felt were the best over-all production values while sticking to the theme. Although I didn't vote for the pic, I was very impressed with the modeling of the Golden Gate bridge. I think Steve has a marketable object there. (Tone down the orange a bit, though.)

Man, this category was tricky to choose from - A lot of excellent work here!

A lot of excellent images! my ist and 2nh choices were

(ahem)

Great showing1

Thanks for running the contest.... Greetings from London Dieter Müller industria http://www.industria.demon.co.uk

Taron is awesome

I'm planning on entering next time, but I won't be anywhere near as good as these guys. Oh well, worth a try.

#15 for most imaginitive expression and LW purity #13 for most engaging composition #8 for most dramatic realism

Entry #15 is a beautiful image and I would love to give this a first place but i'm not sure it answers the contest topic exactly. I'm still giving it a ranking (3rd) though, just because I like the image.

1st-Just a bitchin' picture 2nd-Remind me to stay away from SF, at least in this person's dreams 3rd-'nuther cool pic

Tough choice this month!

There were only 2 or 3 images I liked! Entry #13 was by far the most technically difficult to produce! But 13 seemed lack certain necessary dramatic elements. Number 15 captured the SPIRIT of nature but the terrain was ummm... well pretty 3D-ish if ya know what i mean. Jim

the one with the view from the highway from the perspective of a video camera really hit home... most of the entries were excellent... still wondering how i ended up here!

This is the first time I could not honestly vote for my own image. Ron Wolfe's image dominates this contest.

Maybe this months contest should be renamed to

Difficult to choose! But some entries really worth voting them...
