"Mars 2525"

Last year NASA dropped a solar powered robot on the surface 
of Mars.  When will human beings set foot on the red planet?  
Perhaps by 2525 we will have thriving colonies on Mars.  Or 
will the 30 years since man has set foot on an extraterrestrial 
surface extend well into the next century?  We will have to wait 
amd wonder.
