Sea-Citizens

For this picture, I got a littlebit inspired by an old cartoon 
series called "The Jetsons". This image took about 1 hour to render 
on a P233MMX with medium antialiasing, depth of field, motion blur, 
reflections and shadows. There are no plugins used for this picture. 
The car was made with MetaNurbs and the buildings are simple CSG-objects.
To show the movement of the car I added some motion blur and some tracks 
on it. The tracks of the car were made out of an rail-extrude-object with 
a gradient map. The sky is a sphere with  a color map and a transparency 
map and the moon is a simple sphere with an image map. For the water, I 
used a jittered box with a bumpmap.
