"Stardate 2127, Surprise attack!"

The ship models, the star scene with the moon, the lasers all took only 3 days to create, composite, compose, detail, and layout. I use a simple test to judge my work, "Peter's wallpaper test". If it looks good enough to me that I want it on my desktop as wallpaper all day, it passes. This image breaks away from my previous work, as a step up in quality. What I call a tech level. The theme is a simple conflict, Us Vs Them. The addition of a second ship helps to buffer the feeling of being helpless when we look at ship 27 as its gun port is blasted out of existence. In this we get a sense of balance, which is currently the main issue in my life. The composition of the image also borrows from the thirds principle in composition, as a rule I don't like to center elements in my images. When you get to the center of the image, you don't stay, the action is in the mid right side of the image. The composition is such that your eye doesn't want to leave the frame. That to me is good engaging story telling.
