44112 points, 59526 polygons, 18 objects, 40 surfaces and 15
lights.
"Moon Colony" was made in Lightwave 3D 5.0 rev K. All the objects (except
the palmtrees
inside the glassdomes) are standard primitives and made by me (the
landscape is a modified
model from the net). The landscape has a bumpmap with a little crumple to
simulate the
effect that the flat parts of the rocky landscape are ploughed to be
suitable for living.
All the "yellowish" metalsurfaces uses the same texture, the houses uses
the same
"skyscraper-window-texture" and the rest has some fractal noise.
The scene has 15 lights and 3 of them lights up the scene. It took 20
minutes to render
it in 800x600 (with Enhanced High Antialias) on my DEC Alpha 21064 275 Mhz,
64 Mb RAM.
I then saved it in PhotoShop to get a good JPEG-format. I hope you enjoy
looking at it
as much as I enjoyed making it.
