Artist's Comments
My name is Robert Cipolla and I am a graphic artist for a computer company. I
am currently 21 years old. I am submitting this piece for your contest. I donot know the theme though but I figured what the hell!
The image was mainly done in Ligthwave 5.5. This is my first project with theWAVE, so please be kind. I constructed the remote from a basic box and workedwith the nurbs. I made the buttons mostly out of discs and applied text on topof each button. Some buttons I used the Bevel function. Basically the remoteis constructed of several pieces. In this image, it is hard to see thedimensions of the remote control but in the actual model there are curves onthe back of the remote. The xmas balls were easy, basic sphere's and appliedtextures by exporting the images from Corel Draw 7 as Targa files.
The table was simple! I just applied a lightwood surface and appliedreflection and luminosity. The background I produced in Photoshop using awindow and Bryce 3D and using glass filters and gaussian blurs to give thepicture depth.
The remote was the hardest. I have been using the program for about 3 weeksand I want to master it. I know it will take time. Thanks!!!
